Cerebri is built to keep your study material private. This policy explains what the app does — and does not — do with your data.
Cerebri does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. Everything you create stays on your device (and, if you enable it, in your own private iCloud account). There is no Cerebri server.
What we collect
Nothing. Cerebri has no analytics, no tracking, no advertising SDKs, and no backend. We do not have accounts, and we never see your decks, cards, notes, imported files, photos, or recordings.
How your data is processed
- On‑device only. Flashcard generation, the AI tutor, OCR, and audio/video transcription all run locally on your device using Apple's on‑device frameworks (Apple Intelligence / Foundation Models, Vision, and Speech). Your content is never uploaded for processing.
- Files you import (PDFs, documents, photos, audio, video) are read on your device to create cards and are not copied off the device. Temporary working files are deleted after processing.
iCloud sync (optional)
If you enable iCloud, your decks sync through your own private iCloud database so they appear on your other devices. This data is stored in your Apple account, governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. Cerebri cannot access it. If you do not use iCloud, your data stays only on your device.
Purchases
Purchases are handled by Apple via the App Store. Cerebri receives only the purchase status needed to unlock features; we do not receive your payment details. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
Notifications
If you turn on study reminders, they are scheduled as local notifications on your device. No reminder data leaves the device.
Children's privacy
Cerebri does not collect data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date.
